What These Filters Are
This is a set of reusable brew filters cut and sewn from organic cotton. They stand in for paper filters in your dripper or brewer: hot water passes through the cotton weave, which traps grounds while letting the coffee’s oils through a little more generously than paper does, giving a slightly fuller cup.
What Touches the Water
Cotton, and only cotton. There is no plastic mesh, no nylon frame, and no synthetic stitching in the brew path. Compare that to most reusable filters in stores, which are nylon or plastic-framed metal. After brewing, rinse the filter, let it dry, and it is ready to go again; an occasional boil keeps it fresh.
The Plastic-Free Verdict: Plastic Free and Reusable
Plastic free at the point of contact and waste free in daily use, replacing hundreds of paper filters over its life. Cotton filters do ask for a small habit change, the rinse-and-dry routine, and they reward it with a rounder cup and an empty trash can. They pair naturally with the Hario V60 ceramic dripper.
Who It’s For
- Daily brewers tired of buying paper filters
- Zero-waste households
- Anyone whose reusable filter is currently nylon or plastic
